Blown away... mostly!

A great turnout for this weeks meet. A total of 22 mongrels played in lovely conditions... clear sunny day but strong gusty winds which kept the temperature and scores relatively low this week. It is pleasing to note that the speed of play was good and all 6 groupings were round in much less than 4 hours. Well done... lets keep that pace up !!

The scores.... well 3 pooches battled hard to play the most golf with all 3 coming in with a meagre 19 points. However, the honours go to Ian Mackenzie... Kim's Dad.... who lost on count back from Gert-Jan and Holger. So Ian, you are Dog Doodoo of the week despite claiming to be a visitor.... that is not what 3 Putt Pete says and the fact that you were wearing a Dogs shirt indicates that you are permanent !!! Enjoy the pleasure of being smelly!!! And apologise to Kim for letting the side down!!!
There is no doubt about who got closest to the pin on the 12th.... that was Lars.

But there is confusion about those with balls.... and it didn't become apparent until after we had left the club but as is her 'want', Matahari checked the cards last night and found an anomaly!!! Unfortunately, Gary Lye and his marker scored incorrectly taking an extra stroke somehow. The result of this error was that Gary is not Leader of the Pack... that honour goes to Heather on 32 points... well done Heather. Gary only had 31 points (it is questionable whether he should be disqualified altogether.... but giving him the benefit of the doubt and bearing in mind his gross score was correct he will be let off this time..... and also, whilst I try to establish the rule!!) which meant that he is runner up beating 3 Putt Pete on countback.

I have to say that this sort of confusion we really don't need and I would request that people are more careful when marking their cards.... we do not expect to have to check all the cards before handing out the honours.... Pascale and I want to enjoy our beer as well!!! Please note that it is each individuals responsibility to know their handicap and score to it!!!!!

The dogs dinner is being held on Saturday 8th April at Gus's kennel. Please would you let him and me know of your attendance and whether you are being accompanied..... as soon as possible.
Golf next week will be at Kurmitola at the usual time. I look forward to seeing you there.
